Ripplescapes are line compositions with intriguing patterns in bright colours created by Maarten van den Berg, a visual artist based in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Ripplescapes celebrate the creative power of encounters. They feature moiré patterns created when two layers of lines meet, like the ripples in the sand left by the tide on a beach. 

No two Ripplescapes are the same. Even the smallest change in the interplay of lines can create a completely new pattern.

Inspired by music, conversations and patterns in nature, each Ripplescape captures a moment in the turmoil of stories and experiences we share.
